How do you manage limited vertical screen space when typing replies to Claude?

As I type my response into the text field, less and less of Claude's reply is visible because my text quickly takes up nearly the entire screen. One way I tried to deal with it is to use a text editor for my reply drafting and then copy/paste it into Claude
